I am the Melissa behind Melissa Schepp Creations! I started my fine art business in 2021 when I jumped back into painting after a decade long hiatus. I started with watercolors and acrylics and quickly began experimenting with oil paints and easily fell in love with them.

I was born and raised in North Carolina and have been in love with the mountains and coast my entire life. I use my own reference photos for inspiration for 99% of my paintings and am constantly taking photos wherever I travel. Most of my favorite photos from my travels often end up in my oil painting collections.

I did not attend art school and am a self-taught artist. I am constantly practicing and experimenting with different techniques to achieve a realistic style for my paintings.

In early 2025, I decided to pursue art full-time. I hope to provide my collectors with timeless pieces that reflect the beauty of North Carolina, from the vast rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the salty air of the coast.
